Due to high-technology IT devices, school is now changing to interactive 'Smart Schools.' Unlike the past system using boards, notebooks, textbooks, and pencils, are changing to e-books. Because of smart phones and smart pad is widely spreaded, class using smart devices are tried.
Especially, government is thinking about green-developing with digital classes, until  2013, in all schools. Last November, they made e-learning related devices like digital textbooks and electronic boards to get support from government. As a relation to this IT companies are making tablet PCs, and video interactive education systems.
Most popular one is electronic boards. Using digital pens, they can have a lecture without chalk, or system using TVs which are already at school. LG made 60 inch pen-touch 3D PDP TV, which can be used as boards in CES 2011, recently. Also, MSKorea, and MimioKorea is making similar products, too.
Actually, PolyformKorea which is famous for telepresence, is working with Daejeon, to adapt Native-speaker education system using video conference system. Also, using Augmented Reality, they could even experience it like if it is real.
Students and parents like this idea. They do not have to carry heavy textbooks. In addition, they could study in better conditions like it is real. Moreover, they could study together with other school so they like it.

NASA found the oldest Galaxy!!

January 27th, NASA anounced that they found a new galaxy by Hubble Space Telescope. It is known to be made at the beginning of the formation of the space, captured by Wide Field Camera which was equipped to Hubble Telescope recently. NASA declared "Galaxy created 480000000 years after Bigbang is found." It is oldest since 650000000 years after Bigbang was found. Experts said because of this discovery, we might figure out the biggest mystery, the formation of space. This is even posted on Nature.
Netherlands Leiden astronomical observatory's Professor Lichard Bowen was excited about this news. When he was doing interview with BBC, he said "We found the 'Star City'! I saw something that no scientists had ever saw!" Then, he said beginning of space, a small seed became star, and stars made a young galaxy. And it finally became gigantic gakaxy that we know today."
NASA said, it needs 100 galaxies to be milky way we are observing now. NASA experiment team found out galaxy increases rapidly, comparatively. According to NASA's observation, 500000000 years after Bigbang there was only one galaxy, but after 150000000 years 10 more created, and 100000000 years again, it doubled.

Kin-Search is awesome for SNS generation!

Nowadays, as the Social Network Service Generation comes kin-search  service got spotlight. Social kin-searches like Quora, ChaCha, Sirclet, Hunch, and Ask.com, are most popular. This websites adapt kin-search and twitter, wikipedia's dictionary to give knowledges which would be adequate to users. Like this, Kin-search's characteristics are mixture of Q&A service, social platform, and dictionary.
The way it works is like this. If users upload what they are curious about, neighbors, and experts understands their aspect and give most appropriate answer. Using this way, we can minify useless responds, which would satisfy users.
This service changes the situation that most of the users use social space to create personal connections to forum of knowledge. What they argue about service model is accumulation of knowledge, grouping,  optimization of search, and knowledge share service based on social community.
As these systems get popularity, even sites like Facebook and Twitter is adding social kin-search system. Facebook is running 'Facebook Questions' and Twitter take over 'Fluther' since last December.

January 13th, in Austrailia, Toowoomba, a teen gave up his life for his younger brother, during flood. Jordan, 13 years old,  Blake, 10 years old, and their mom were trapped in their car Monday by a flash flood in Austrailia. When rescuers come Jordan said "save my brother first" and died with his mother when they were swept away by flood waters.
At the first, they were driving at the intersection of James and Kitchener streets about 2pm on Monday through water becase it was only up to it's car wheels. However, their car engine stopped and Ms Rice called triple zero for help. She was unable to call anyone else due to the fact that she had no phone credit.
Even though Jordan was afraid of water, he did his best, even going to terrifying water, to save his little brother. People near there said that there was almost no help until rescuers come. They also recall Jordan as a 'Little Hero'

Fight between Two Exchange Students, and Death

December, 14th, in Los Angelas, U.S.A, two Korean exchange students fought because of designation. It may have stemmed from cultural differences between the U.S. and Korea. The culture of U.S.A., which can be called friends, even if they are not the same age, and Korean culture, which mostly say senior to the older age.
Friends said that they were close because they were both exchange students.  Jin Su Lee, 19, collapsed and later died at a hospital after he and a 17-year-old boy fight on a football field that lasted about 10 seconds during gym class Tuesday. The other boy is now imprisoned for murder. Now, Lee's locker was covered with notes and a necklace bearing a cross. Students also posted messages on Facebook and Twitter, talking about sorrows on what had happened.
